We are so glad we ended up doing formal dog training, and Danika was superb in giving us all the tools we needed to succeed with our pup. 90% of dog training is training the owners, and she was incredibly patient with all of us as well as our kids. Truly would not have our dog at the level he is right now without her. Especially love the focus on positive reinforcement and patience, which other places may not emphasize as clearly. Thanks for all your help Danika, we look forward to intermediate!

We have had incredible success with Aviva and our dog Blue in the first four sessions we have done! We are looking forward to our next set of sessions and to see all of the skills our little pup can learn!

We took our puppy to Babydog at Bosleys it is 100% worth the 10 dollars for a drop in socialization class. We loved it so much we went 3 times a week for months. It really does help you learn your dogs body language, and getting to hold other peoples adorable puppies is priceless. If you like puppies you will love babydog

Great trainers, practical lessons. Their puppy socializing classes make all the difference with getting young puppies... Err.. socialized. You know, like the name says.

I took our puppy Yodel to the socialization classes for almost 4 months. I found it extremely helpful and I learned a lot about how puppies interact and what different body language signals mean. Avila is very knowledgeable about dog behaviours.

Danika is very professional, and encouraging in ensuring you get the value for the training. She was able to address behavioral issues with my puppy and was able to provide effective solutions. More importantly, she provided tips on how to train humans and little humans on proper dog handling.

Danika is an amazing instructor. She takes the time to engage with each dog and owner and is very professional and knowledgeable. My puppy walked into the first class, shy and never normally approaching strangers, and ran up to Danika and stayed by her side, like she had known her for years! That is her magic! I came to BabyDog in desperation with my rescue dog Pheonix, who had multiple behavioral issues. I was really at my wits end, and thought I would have to rehome her because I didn't have the environment or tools to help her. We only had 4 sessions, thus far, and the impact has been incredible. Aviva (owner) has been absolutely amazing to put it mildly. She's not only incredibly perceptive and adjusts the training to your dogs needs, but she is compassionate, has a plethora of knowledge, and goes above and beyond. She offered so much support and resourcefulness, it literally saved both Pheonix and myself. She helped me understand her postures and behaviours, enabled me to communicate effectively, and most importantly empowered me to give Pheonix what she needs. She connected us to Bosley's on Burnside for their first ever Reactive Dog night which not only helped Pheonix overcome her fear of stores, but we were actually able to return and attempt bathing. I could really go on and on about how grateful I am to Aviva and her team, and so happy that there are people out there dedicated to truly making a difference in not only dogs lives, but their guardians as well. It was an absolute delight to work with Aviva to help 5 year old Happy, a Crested Maltese Little Man, to feel safe no matter who we encounter walking about and to more immediately respond to directions given. Aviva made it fun to learn for both Happy and me.

BabyDog is an amazing company. We have a rescue chihuahua mix who was fearful, shy, and had trouble walking on leash. We attended socialization classes (the shy puppy class at Royal Oak Bosley's), basic training, and intermediate training. We are truly raising a dog we can take anywhere! Aviva and Ruth personalize classes when needed and possible, and really engage with the dogs and their families. Our dog's needs were met and so were ours. I cannot recommend BabyDog highly enough! Their training classes are well worth the price, and their flexible drop-in model is fantastic. I could never thank Aviva and Ruth enough for how much they have helped us connect and learn with our dog :)

We had Dave over to our condo five times to help get our two dogs under control when someone comes to the door. We have a 5 year old Papillon and a 1 1/2 year old Yorkie. I immediately felt comfortable with Dave and appreciated his gentleness with Finn and Chewy. He always arrived exactly on time which made it easier for me to ready them for his arrival. They now sit quietly in their “place” while we eat as well as when someone comes to the door. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone having difficulties with their dogs.

BabyDog was recommended to me by a friend and now I am in a position to recommend them to my friends and family. I contacted BabyDog for private sessions to help me improve my puppy’s impulse control. My Jack Russell Terrier had a terrible habit of picking things up and eating them - everything. Even dangerous things. I was at the point where I felt I could not keep him safe and I was considering rehoming him. The Baby Dog trainer and I worked slowly and methodically building a strong foundation of impulse control commands such as no, leave it, drop it, sit/stay, and place. We added one or two new skills every week. As my pup improved we worked on walking skills and recall. Everything finally came together and now my pup lives safely and happily, as a member of our family, and loves training every day. I am so pleased with my investment in my dog and my partnership with BabyDog. Their training methodology is science-based, gentle, kind, and it has proven itself effective for my dog. I found the trainer to be knowledgeable, skilled, patient, and kind. She was an excellent communicator for both handler and puppy. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her, gaining confidence in my ability to teach my pup and his capacity to learn. My dog and I are now a team, training every day, and continuing to solidify the skills we have learned. I am a BabyDog customer for life.

Our training sessions have really helped us learn how to work with our high anxiety dog. The one on one sessions were really well catered to his and our specific needs. It is training with care and compassion and it has worked to change our dogs behaviour. They are so generous with their knowledge which makes the sessions really high value - definitely worth the investment, and worth the wait if they are busy.
