We got our German Shepherd Niro when he was 12 weeks old and since he was our first puppy, we enrolled him in group training classes right away! Mainly working with Aviva and Ruth, they have taught us everything we need to know in order to raise a happy, smart, obedient dog by using positive training methods. Their puppy socialization classes have taught him how to play with dogs of all sizes safely and he has made many puppy friends through it. We would highly recommend them if you have a new puppy!

Engaging. I found BabyDog Aviva and Ruth to be very Engaging. Their approach in classes to both puppy and puppy owner was very attractive and pleasing in a way that holds your attention. While I have owned dogs most of my life so far, I have never had a young puppy. Wanting to do right by her, I researched training and socialization classes. Baby Dog was the one that was recommended over and over again without hesitation. We've now been going to weekly sessions for three months and my dog while having mastered what they teach loves the class so much that we just keep coming. When I pull up in front of the class she knows what we're there for and her excitement is off the charts. Aviva and her team run amazing classes and they should be the go to for every new puppy owner in Victoria. I studied to be a dog trainer 17 years ago when considering a career change. That said, I have learned a ton from Aviva while having our pup trained and her approach and explanations are much more effective and in line with what dogs need, than what I was originally taught. We are very luck to have Baby Dog as a resource.

Danika is an amazing instructor. She takes the time to engage with each dog and owner and is very professional and knowledgeable. My puppy walked into the first class, shy and never normally approaching strangers, and ran up to Danika and stayed by her side, like she had known her for years! That is her magic! Danika makes everyone feel like they are heard and the star student of the class! I highly recommend Babydog lessons. We are so grateful and we have learned so much. We will be back for more lessons. Had a great time training our puppy with BabyDog. We have seen fantastic results and the training truly got my partner and I on the same page. We will continue using BabyDog and have booked private sessions to further her training.

One of our dogs has been anxious and reactive around other dogs. Even though he is a sweet little guy, walking him was something none of us could look forward to anymore. I was fortunate to meet Danika in another setting, and she mentioned she specializes in working with reactive dogs. We arranged some sessions and found that not only is she a super skilful and compassionate trainer, she's an all around fun and generous human being. In the first session, we learned tools and principles that began to help immediately. By the second session, our dog was comfortable being in fairly close proximity to hers. After a few more sessions we were able to enjoy our walks again, even actively seeking out dogs as conditioning opportunities. We're so happy and impressed!!

Dave was exceptional with my beagle, Ryder. His patience and knowledge is exemplary. He gave me lots of great tips and helped Ryder become a more confident dog and thus, me a more confident owner.

Babydog was fantastic! I had no idea what to expect when I walked in with my 8 week old pup. Aviva, Dave and Ruth were great at explaining canine behaviour and helping me understand why something was going on! I became so interested in dog training and behaviour, I became a volunteer. Meg was great with our goldendoodle Enzo! He caught on quick thanks to Meg's clear and kind instructions during the Level 1 obedience group classes, and we're making progress between classes too. We will be joining Level 2 group classes or consider private classes in the near future for sure! Meg was also super empathetic not only with the dogs but with us, the humans, and provided great feedback and tips!

We had private training sessions with Aviva to help us with our puppy. Aviva helped us all so much with the tools to continue to work with daily. It was amazing watching our puppy learn so much during those sessions.We looked forward to each session and we highly recommend Babydog. Our puppy has severe anziety with strangers and dogs and watching her work through this was absolutely amazing !

I have brought two pups to the socialization classes with Baby Dog. They are awesome! Very knowledgeable and professional, always managing what’s going on with the dogs and genuinely seem to love what they do!
