We have had incredible success with Aviva and our dog Blue in the first four sessions we have done! We are looking forward to our next set of sessions and to see all of the skills our little pup can learn!

Baby Dog…I must say, having had dogs all of my life, showing, training, and competing, taking my new young “man” to baby socialization classes was brilliant! Baby Dog taught me a lot as well. I love that they teach and use positive reinforcement philosophy for training. As we encountered some growing pain challenges, particularly with “focusing”, I took advantage of a few private lessons that were spot on! Aviva knew which tool to pull out of her tool box to assist with our particular challenges. Thank you Aviva and Co for all that you do and offer! I have a dog who loves to work, is engaged and focused, and who interacts respectfully with other canines! I highly recommend Baby Dog…for your young pup, as well as your “mature” pup.

Meg was an excellent trainer. She presents very well, and is extremely passionate with people and dogs. She has a natural affinity to the dogs, and it’s obvious she loves her job. We’re looking forward to taking another class with Meg or Baby dog trainers.

We moved to the island in December with our 2-year-old Italian Mastiff, Reese. Due to the stress of the move Reese became reactive around all dogs and some people. Given that he’s a big boy (110 lbs of muscle), walking Reese around the dense spaces in the city of Victoria filled us (and Reese) with anxiety. Walks with Reese became a stressful chore rather than a fun, bonding activity with our pup. Thankfully we found Ruth at BabyDog! Ruth was so kind, patient and knowledgeable that by the end of our first session Reese was going belly up to get Ruth to scratch him. With Ruth’s excellent guidance, we practiced our new skills at home, parks, trails, and wherever we could go to learn and get better at managing Reese’s anxiety. The hard work paid off and Reese is now a very happy boy who’s a pleasure to walk around the city or wherever we choose to go. He’s by no means perfect, but after having worked with Ruth we know we have the tools and the skills to help Reese live his best island life. Thanks for everything Ruth! Marc and Chris (& Reese)

Our trainer was intelligent, skilled, and kind. Helped us understand our own dog’s behaviour better and provided us tips and tricks to help us care for her safely in all settings. While we’ve had other dogs in the past, we’ve never had a bully breed so appreciated her generalized as well as her personalized insights. Always felt supported. Worth every penny.

Danika is very professional, and encouraging in ensuring you get the value for the training. She was able to address behavioral issues with my puppy and was able to provide effective solutions. More importantly, she provided tips on how to train humans and little humans on proper dog handling.

We got our German Shepherd Niro when he was 12 weeks old and since he was our first puppy, we enrolled him in group training classes right away! Mainly working with Aviva and Ruth, they have taught us everything we need to know in order to raise a happy, smart, obedient dog by using positive training methods. Their puppy socialization classes have taught him how to play with dogs of all sizes safely and he has made many puppy friends through it. We would highly recommend them if you have a new puppy!

Took the level one Obedience class with BabyDog and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Great communication and help from the Admin team before and during the classes. Our Instructor Meg couldn't have been better for us / our dog Marcus. It was amazing how quickly he would learn from her and set a platform for us to continue with. Highly recommend to anyone with a new rescue dog looking to learn more!

We’re so grateful to have found Aviva at BabyDog to help with our two-year-old rescue from Mexico. She went above and beyond to tailor her training to exactly what we needed. From the start, she listened carefully to our goals and truly understood what we wanted to achieve with our dog. I had the opportunity to see Emma in action at her socialization class for shy/tiny dogs last Saturday. I brought along a timid foster dog and couldn’t believe how calmly and skilfully she managed a class of 10 dogs and their owners. She was quickly able to organize the pups into appropriate small groups and guide us through introduction exercises. I learned so much as a participant, and while observing the other groups too. Emma set each dog up for success by ensuring everyone had a safe space to move through the instructions at their own pace. I’m thrilled with the progress my dog made in just one hour! We’ll definitely attend the class as often as possible, and I’d recommend Emma to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

Took our pup to socialization classes for several months. What she and we learned there was invaluable to create a friendly we’ll socialized young dog. The information learned at the classes continue to help us train our dog even though she’s aged out of the class. The weekly news letters we continue to receive are also extremely useful with great information on caring for and training our dog. Recommend Baby Dog very highly.

We went to Babydog's socialization classes from 8 weeks till about 6 or 7 months and it was amazing! Madeline learned to be around every kind of dog and a lot of different people also. If you have a young dog that you want to learn the ways of the world in a safe and fun environment, I cant imagine a better experience than we had at Babydog!!!
