I've had my rescue dog now for about five weeks...and have found the drop-in group obedience classes, and outdoor group socialization walks invaluable in learning to communicate with my loving pooch. Aviva (and her other trainers) highlight the need to reinforce positive behaviours in the training process. This is a far cry from the "NO!" and "Bad DOG!" comments that you hear from owners who are not aware of the positive behaviour modification skills that you learn through Baby Dog training. I invited a friend of mine and her dog to join Samson and I on one of the pet socialization walks. She was amazed how much you could learn on just one walk, and how it opened her eyes to the training that can yield so many positive results. Thank you Aviva and Baby Dog..!

We have thoroughly enjoyed both the puppy socialization classes and the obedience classes. The trainers are excellent with dogs AND people - always on time, professional, and knowledgeable.

We did private lessons with Danika for our new puppy and could not be happy with the experience. She was knowledgable, thorough, and you can clearly see how passionate she is about her job and dogs. Would recommend to anyone with a new puppy or looking to improve their relationship with their dog. Decibels going to come back for intermediate lessons in the spring!

Training with Aviva has been a game changer for helping my dog Ollie gain confidence and start to conquer his reactivity. She helped us build a solid foundation in manageable steps and most importantly made it fun for both of us! I highly recommend sessions with Aviva to learn how to deal with behaviour issues and build a solid relationship with your dog.

Babydog was fantastic! I had no idea what to expect when I walked in with my 8 week old pup. Aviva, Dave and Ruth were great at explaining canine behaviour and helping me understand why something was going on! I became so interested in dog training and behaviour, I became a volunteer. I recommend Babydog to any new dog owner. Also don’t forget their weekly pack walk for dogs of any age!

When I was being challenged by training my large teenage Golden, I asked Aviva to help me get back on track. We had taken him to puppy socialization previously and knew Aviva would be the trainer that could help us because of her experience and the gentle but firm way she has with dogs. I learned what I needed to do in order to have Monte pay attention and listen to me. We have a much calmer dog now that he respects me as a leader. Thank you, Aviva, you gave me practical and simple things to do so I could be successful with him and consistency and practice have really paid off. Our lives have changed for the better!

Great place knowledgeable and caring trainers

It was an absolute delight to work with Aviva to help 5 year old Happy, a Crested Maltese Little Man, to feel safe no matter who we encounter walking about and to more immediately respond to directions given. Aviva made it fun to learn for both Happy and me.

We signed our dog up for puppy socialization class and Mojo loved Tara so much we booked her for individual training sessions. We learned so much and got excellent tailored help for Mojo's needs, plus there is lots of ongoing support if we need more help later on. Highly, highly recommend individual training with Tara!

Babydog has been the most amazing resource for our family and our young pup with separation anxiety and other issues. TL;DR - We've tried a lot of different dog training services and Babydog is BY FAR the best. Babydog helped us with: - One-on-one puppy training - Puppy socialization - Group obedience class - Separation anxiety issues (this was a life changer) - Reactivity to other dogs - One-on-one training for our adolescent dog - Serious emotional support Writing that all out makes me realize how far Benson has come and very much thanks to Babydog. SEPARATION ANXIETY I can't stress enough that if your dog has separation anxiety, reach out to Babydog. Aviva helped us get our lives back. We went from not being able to leave him alone for more than 15 seconds to being able to go out for hours at a time without worrying. If you're going through this, know that it can get better! PRIVATE TRAINING We started out with private training for our young puppy and the support we received was amazing. Our dog was pretty challenging at first but the trainers we worked with were patient, helpful, accommodating and made a huge difference. PUPPY SOCIALIZATION We also took Benson to puppy socialization classes with Babydog where he learned to play appropriately with dogs of various sizes and breeds. He was pretty shy in the beginning but his experiences with Babydog's puppy socialization gave him more confidence and now he's a very social guy. GROUP OBEDIENCE We took Benson to both the beginner and intermediate group obedience classes. The support we got was excellent here and he did great in the beginner class and learned a lot. I think we pushed him into the intermediate class too soon (8 months old). He ended up just wanting to play with everyone so maybe timing is something to think about if your dog is a bit more rambunctious! ONGOING SUPPORT Benson is 1.5 years old now and we're still getting so much support and value out of Babydog's one-on-one training. Aviva has been a huge help and the classes are fun for us and Benson. The training support AND the emotional support have been truly amazing and I really don't know if we could have done it without the help. Thank you Aviva and team!

Dave did a great job helping train us how to train Rex right and gave plenty of useful tips and tricks that have done wonders!

We have taken both our puppies to BabyDog with fantastic results. Our training has never gone this well before. BabyDog is always focused on positive reinforcements and finding a training method the is kind and working well for our puppies.

Our trainer was intelligent, skilled, and kind. Helped us understand our own dog’s behaviour better and provided us tips and tricks to help us care for her safely in all settings. While we’ve had other dogs in the past, we’ve never had a bully breed so appreciated her generalized as well as her personalized insights. Always felt supported. Worth every penny.
