It was an absolute delight to work with Aviva to help 5 year old Happy, a Crested Maltese Little Man, to feel safe no matter who we encounter walking about and to more immediately respond to directions given. Aviva made it fun to learn for both Happy and me.

Took the level one Obedience class with BabyDog and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Great communication and help from the Admin team before and during the classes. Our Instructor Meg couldn't have been better for us / our dog Marcus. It was amazing how quickly he would learn from her and set a platform for us to continue with. Highly recommend to anyone with a new rescue dog looking to learn more!

My poodle puppy was frightened of everything and becoming reactive. I was desperate for help. We tried classes with no results. Avila suggested the Sunday pack walks as a non-threatening way to socialize him. She always took the time to let everyone know that we needed our space and every week Vincent got more comfortable. 6 months later, Vince is walking comfortably in the middle of the pack, he’s confident and happy. He is maturing into a very cool dude, and I can take him anywhere. Thank you Babydog for helping us.

Love, love, love, how much I learned from taking my pup to BabyDog. The group socialization at Bosley’s allowed my pup to play with other pups of different breeds and temperaments while teaching us humans how to understand ‘dog’ body language. It also made for a relaxing day (big nap after play time)!! The group training with Aviva and Ruth in Brentwood and pack walks on Sundays taught me that every time we are in a different situation it is yet another learning opportunity for both of us! We learned a lot in an enjoyable, positive way. We also did some basic obedience with Dave at Tomey K9 Services which taught us how important it is to be consistent and that repetition (with good treats) helps our pups to understand what we are asking of them. The one thing that I will always remember is that Dave said “Our dogs want to please us” !

Great trainers, practical lessons. Their puppy socializing classes make all the difference with getting young puppies... Err.. socialized. You know, like the name says.

I highly recommend BabyDog's puppy socialization classes and weekly group classes. Our Golden Retriever is 9 months old now and we use the tips and tricks learnt in our classes on a daily basis. (Our dog is sitting next to me as I type this review and she wholeheartedly agrees that the time invested at BabyDog was well worth it.)

Aviva and BabyDog have a wonderful combination of technical training ability and a true love of dogs. This shows in everything they do-- private training, group classes, walks, and communicating with the pet's owners. I recommend them any time I can.

Our puppy Rosie absolutely loves her and actually listens! Meg not only taught our dog many useful things but she gave us so much knowledge that we never would have known before. We’re so grateful to have found Aviva at BabyDog to help with our two-year-old rescue from Mexico. She went above and beyond to tailor her training to exactly what we needed. From the start, she listened carefully to our goals and truly understood what we wanted to achieve with our dog. The transformation in our dog has been amazing, and we feel much more confident in our own training skills as well. For anyone looking to make a meaningful, lasting change in their dog’s behaviour, we can’t recommend Aviva highly enough!

We are so glad we ended up doing formal dog training, and Danika was superb in giving us all the tools we needed to succeed with our pup. 90% of dog training is training the owners, and she was incredibly patient with all of us as well as our kids. Truly would not have our dog at the level he is right now without her. Especially love the focus on positive reinforcement and patience, which other places may not emphasize as clearly. If you’re looking for puppy training, you can stop now. You’ve found the best. My pup, Zion, a three-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog, has gained more in his training sessions with Baby Dog than I could possibly have accomplished on my own. Like any over-functioning pup parent, I read the books, listened to the podcasts, and watched the YouTube videos. None of that compared to the information, coaching, and motivation we received from our trainer, Danika. Each week, Danika presented us with new training tools, discussed them in detail, and went though the steps with Zion. Then I would make my attempts, with Danika giving helpful tips and tricks along the way. Zion absolutely loved Danika. She was lovely with him: calm energy, engaging demeanour, and just the right amount of assertiveness when he needed it. Danika was flexible with the sessions, keeping us on track, but was also happy to answer all of my random questions. Her follow up emails were very helpful. Now that we’ve completed the beginner sessions, I plan to take a few months off, then attend the intermediate classes. Danika has given us so much to work with, and I look forward to watching Zion develop his skills then show them off when we meet again!
