NEW - Day School
We’re happy to offer a dog day school in partnership with Puppy Love Pet Center in Victoria BC!
Your dog will receive a training session, with one of our trainers, every day they come hang out with us! The remainder of the day will be a mix of down time in the kennel and outside time with the kennel staff.
Doggie Day School
Are you struggling to set up training sessions with your work schedule, or would you like us to train your dog for you? Dog Day school is the perfect option for you. This program is designed for you to drop off your dog in the morning and pick them up in the evening- no overnights required! We will work with them daily and focus the training on your dog’s needs.
Please note this program requires a minimum of 2 sessions to be booked consecutively.
Who is it for?
Those whose dog would benefit from a more intensive period of training sessions or for those who don’t have the availability for daytime sessions.
Where is the Day School?
Our partner – Puppy Love Care Pet Care Centre – is located in a rural setting on five acres near Island View Beach and Provincial Park
- Training is done Monday-Friday (weekend sessions may be available depending on the trainer’s availability)
- Training is done by Dave Tomey, Aviva Shtull, Emma Cilliers or Meg Sorley.
- A refresher session is included after your initial booking and every 3 additional sessions, where you and your dog return to Puppy Love and our trainers show you what was worked on during the stay.
- All clients will get one month’s access to our online training platform Readydog after the initial sessions.
Our partner – Puppy Love Care Pet Care Centre – is located in a rural setting on five acres near Island View Beach and Provincial Park. The property has been home to a boarding kennel for over 50 years. They are an exclusively individual boarding facility. Whether indoors or playing outside, dogs from different families are never mixed to reduce stress and eliminate the possibility of injury due to fighting or roughhousing.
As an additional service for your dog, Puppy Love offers Playschool. This 20-minute service gives additional individualized personal attention with one of their Social Directors in addition to your pet’s regular outside exercise times.
Your pet will be taken to the large 1/4 acre exercise yard for exercise, games, and treats. Playschool is great for all ages, and activities range depending on your pet’s preferences.
- Dogs are always kept separate from other dogs at the kennel, including during exercise periods
- Dogs from the same household can be boarded/exercised together
- If the trainer feels it would be beneficial for your dog to be around other dogs during their training session, they may include other dogs in the training.
- Please bring training treats
- Separate buildings for small, medium, and large dogs
- Facility hours: Monday-Sunday 9-5
- Drop off is at 9am
- Pick Up is no later than 5 pm.
Standard package includes:
- Private Yard time 3x day
Gold packages includes:
- Private yard time 2x day
- Playschool daily
This program requires a minimum of 2 training sessions in a row.
- Training is $300 minimum (2 days of dayschool) and each additional session is $150.
- Payment for training is due in full upon reservation
- Day school boarding is paid separately and paid directly to Puppy Love, it is $39 per day for the standard package or $44 a day for the Gold package
- Payment for day school boarding is due at the end of your first day.
